Our client is a world leader in metal fabrication and component manufacturing. They operate over 37 production facilities in 18 countries and they serve a broad range of high growth, high value industries including automotive, HVAC and medical. We have been retained to recruit a Global Utilities Manager to join our client’s strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Management Team. This individual will assume the global procurement and policy management responsibility for all energy and utilities spend. This position will be located in NY State.

Key areas of responsibility include developing and implementing strategies for all manufacturing units worldwide in the purchase and usage of energy. This individual will also be responsible for the design and implementation of best practices and processes which can be used to create a collaborative and strategic energy procurement culture across the globe. The Global Utility Manager will also be responsible for securing total cost of ownership reductions for strategic spend on energy and utilities, reporting directly to the Director, North American Metal Procurement and Global Utilities.

Requirements:

· Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business or related field of study; advanced degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management is strongly preferred.

· Minimum 6 years of successful procurement/supply chain experience required.

· Prior experience with global commodity management including strategy design and implementation. Specific experience managing utilities and/or metals commodities strongly preferred.

· Proven ability to drive and create change through actionable recommendations and implementation plans.

· The ability to influence and negotiate change by making credible recommendations supported by accurate information and past experience.
